Ready to surrender?
Haven’t you read about the power of surrender? The power of letting it all go? The power of the Present Moment? Yet, what gets in our way of doing this?
The brain is constantly looking for answers to problems that we think we have. So it’s job is to keep trying to find an answer. If in fact the brain/mind could do that, don’t you think all of your problems and those of the world would have been solved by now?
Scientific research has proven there is a better, quicker way to find the solution. Or shall I say “be” in the solution. It is called “intuition”. It is acquired through heart/brain harmonization.;-)
60 minutes on 1/6/19 shared a story of Marshall Medoff an 81 year old man who went into seclusion to find an answer to turning inedible plant life into biofuel! History has shown us that it may come from people who have had no experience in what they created, nor the most impressive credentials!
With very little to no money, he toiled in isolation for more than a decade. Something in him knew it was possible, how to transform inedible plant life into biofuel. He did it!! I thought of how all the leaves that fall here and yard debris we have to bag up and where does that go? I love his idea!!!!
Remember Jesus? He had to surrender to silence for 40 days to listen deeply. What about Buddha sitting under the Bodha tree? Nelson Mandela being incarcerated? Each one came out of the silence with new ideas/ perceptions/ truths.
It is in the surrendering of the “to do lists”, the distractions of the world of form that we will find answers to what we need, personally and collectively, to be, to see change in the world.
Take time to step away from your daily life to just sit, with the question in your own heart. Listen deeply in the silence of your own heart you may be surprised at what you hear.
Surrendering to the mystery rather than the history of your past!
