Self regulation = emotional intelligence.

So much is written about the chaos and challenges we are facing as a human being. With all of that, and what is predicted in the next year it is so easy to get triggered isn’t it? The world is changing so rapidly and it can be difficult to find center and even our breath at times. Finding our breath is important to manage all of this. Finding our center, finding and accessing our hearts is how we can begin to create a different physiology for sure.

Each time we have an emotion, whether positive or negative as many call them, we are activating 1400 biochemical reactions in the body and the brain! So, we have to become self aware each moment as to what you are feeling and thinking. Some of these emotions will give us energy, some will drain our energy, awareness of this matters. The key is to not judge yourself for where you are. We do think the same thoughts and feelings many times, they are just habits, so forgive yourself for that one.

I have found that when I intentionally shift my physiology out of the stress state, the prefrontal cortex comes back online , I can perceive things from the higher brain and even find out of the box solutions.

Begin to notice what happens in your body when you get triggered. Does it tighten? Do you hold your breath? Do you find tension in the body and where it is? Then notice what emotion (since emotions drive our physiology more than our thoughts) is happening, notice it textures, colors shape etc. This is why learning self-regulation skills can help our brains and bodies heal and awaken to the Spirit.

Also notice what thoughts are present. Again without judgment, see if this is a familiar pattern for you. I have found in myself they are. Celebrate this, now you are aware of all of it, many don’t even do this part. When I do this I am more aware of when I project all this stuff out onto the world and go into blaming the outer world or people or situations for what I am experiencing.

Do you do this? It is normal since we have not been taught how to be with all of this as an inquiry to become more Self-Aware. The more we can be honest with ourselves, the more power we have to shift out of these states. We begin to build our capacity to be resilient and coherent.

Coherence is always implies harmony, connectedness, stability and the efficient use of our energy.

Using this ability to get coherent ,using my own physiology to empower myself and others, I believe will help humanity out of this pattern of violence and separation that we see in the world, in movies and in our own minds.

Once we learn how to access the Intelligence of the Heart we can begin to truly engage life and each other in a different more compassionate way.

A few weeks ago I was attacked by a pit bull as I was out walking. Since then so many emotions, came up for me in that moment. I was so grateful that I had practiced coherence which built my intuition and what I heard was “Alpha”. I followed that, got the dog off my right hand and began to shout and get really big. This is what protected me in that moment. I am now on the long journey of healing mostly being with all the emotions that continually arise. I continue to pray that I keep my heart open to what is knowing it will guide me.

This is in my opinion true emotional mastery. It is not easy and it takes practice and a sincere heart to do this work. If each of us do this, collectively, we have the potential access this power within to co-create a new world. What kind of world would you like to co-create that our hearts know is possible.

If I can support you with working with your own heart, your own essence please contact me. Humanity needs all of us now to show up with open hearts and minds. It takes work , are you ready to learn?
