The power of science and change.
So now we are 6 weeks into Covid-19, how are you doing? What are you thinking? What are you feeling? What is happening in your body? These are very pertinent questions you need to ask of yourself to become aware/mindful of your inner state.
This inner “state” determines your biology. Emotions drive your physiology impacting your autonomic nervous system, meaning the automatic functions of your body. Remember in a previous post about 5 minutes of anger reduces the immune system for up to 6 hours.
So, what have you been feeling with all the various theories about Covid-19? Some of us really enjoyed the down time and working from home. Some I hear are anxious, fearful, depressed, worried, sad, annoyed, angry, etc. All of these “emotions” are called depleting emotions. Which drains your inner battery. They also impact how the brain functions! It took me time to realize how many of these lower frequencies of emotions were now a habit.
With this Covid-19 situation, anytime I would turn the TV on it invited me into states of anger, fear, worry , resentment..have you noticed this inside yourself as you watch or listen?
Let’s take a closer look at how this happens. It is the science around epigenetics. What is cool to really understand is that YOU have the power to change .

Perhaps now you understand more of the science of change. It is our perceptions of the world and ourselves that influences how the signal is sent. Disease is caused trauma (physical or emotional ) bad proteins and Thought! The mind, our thoughts is the primary cause of disease. How we see the world. Our perceptions can be handed down through generations!
The greatest cause is STRESS. Eckhart Tolle says this is when we would rather be somewhere other than where we are. Kelly Mcgonigal says stress is caused by perceiving something we care about is being threatened.
With the situation of Covid-19 in the world, many are stressed because so much of what we cared about prior to this has been threatened. When you learn to manage this stress response…you change your biology!
